How SellerThanks works
SellerThanks sends your own thank-you messages to your eBay buyers automatically, so every buyer hears from you without you writing the same message again and again.
Getting started
- Create your account with your email address. You'll get a one-time login code, so there's no password to remember.
- Connect your eBay account from your dashboard. eBay asks you to approve access, and you can disconnect at any time.
- Write your messages and switch them on.
Three messages, each with its own on/off switch
- After payment: sent once to each buyer after they pay, e.g. thanking them and explaining your dispatch times.
- When dispatched: sent once when you mark the order dispatched on eBay, and can include the tracking number.
- Feedback reminder: sent once, the number of days after dispatch you choose (3 to 30, 14 unless you change it), politely asking for feedback. It's skipped if the buyer has already left feedback, or if the order was cancelled or refunded.
SellerThanks checks for new orders about every 30 minutes. Each buyer gets each message once, and only for orders after you switched it on.
Personalise your messages
Add details from the order and they're filled in automatically when the message is sent:

For example, "Thanks {buyer_first_name} for buying {item_title}!" becomes "Thanks Sarah for buying 25mm Brass Hook!"
Messages are sent through eBay's own messaging, so they follow eBay's rules. Buyers' addresses and contact details are never added to messages.
Security and your data
SellerThanks holds only what it needs to send your messages.
- Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe processes every payment as the seller of record. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach SellerThanks.
- We never see your eBay password. You connect your account on eBay's own sign-in page and approve exactly what SellerThanks can do: see your eBay username, read your orders and send messages to your buyers. eBay then gives SellerThanks an access key, which is stored encrypted.
- You're always in control. Disconnect from your dashboard at any time: the access key is deleted and messages stop straight away. You can also remove SellerThanks' access in your eBay account settings.
- No password to steal. You log in to SellerThanks with a one-time code sent to your email.
- Buyers' details aren't stored. A buyer's first name and what they ordered are read from eBay at the moment a message is sent, then discarded. SellerThanks keeps only eBay order numbers, so no buyer is ever messaged twice. Buyers' addresses and contact details are never stored or added to messages.
- Everything is sent securely. The website and all connections to eBay and Stripe use encrypted HTTPS.

Pricing
7-day free trial, no card needed, then £4.99 per month plus VAT (£5.99 per month in the UK) if you decide to keep it. Add a card from your dashboard before the trial ends to carry on. If you don't, the trial simply ends and you're never charged. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
